How long have you been with Kankakee Community College and what is your individual role? I have served Kankakee Community College as vice president of instruction and Student Services for two years.  In this role, I provide leadership and support for faculty and staff who provide excellent instruction and services to help students achieve their educational goals.

What value do you see in being a member of the regional Chamber and what does that mean for your business? The mission of Kankakee Community College is "enhancing quality of life through learning".  This mission is certainly commensurate with the mission and purpose of the regional Chamber which is also focused on the quality of life in our community.  Both Kankakee Community College and the Chamber are organizations that are central to the health and welfare of our community.

As a newer member of the board of Directors, what do you hope to accomplish through your involvement?  I hope that I might provide service to the community through participation in Chamber decisions and initiatives.  I also hope to learn more about the businesses in this community and find opportunities for KCC to work with them to meet educational and training needs.

With work, family, and the Chamber's board, what tips do you have for other busy professionals to help stay balanced and focused? I believe that balance is the key.  Work, family, community service, and personal time are all important components of a full life but balance is essential to prevent any from overwhelming the others.

What is your favorite item on your work desk? The picture of my family.
