1.                  What is the Kankakee Regional Rx Card?

Kankakee Regional Rx Card is a FREE discount prescription assistance program. The program was launched to help uninsured and underinsured residents afford their prescriptions.

2.                 Who is eligible to participate in the Kankakee Regional Rx Card program?

Every resident of the Kankakee Region and surrounding area is eligible to receive a FREE prescription drug card.

3.       How do Kankakee residents get a Kankakee Regional Rx Card?

Kankakee residents can print a card by visiting the Kankakee Regional Chamber of Commerce website at www.kankakee.org.  Anyone not able to print a card can simply visit the Kankakee Regional Chamber of Commerce in Kankakee, IL or contact the Chamber office at Chamber@kankakee.org.

4.       How can Kankakee Regional Rx Card provide free cards to residents?

This prescription assistance program is made possible and funded through the support of pharmacies and pharmaceutical companies.

5.       Can this program be used by people who have insurance with prescription benefits?

This program was launched to help the uninsured people of the Kankakee afford their prescriptions. However, people with insurance can also use Kankakee Regional Rx Card to get a discount on non-formulary medications (drugs that are not covered by their insurance).

Average savings are roughly 30% with savings on some medications as high as 75%.

This program has a "LOWEST PRICE" feature that provides cardholders the lowest plan price on prescriptions at participating pharmacies (Medication Pricing/Discounts are calculated on the plans lowest negotiated contract price and the pharmacy’s “usual and customary” price).
